The president of FAGA, together with other businesspeople from Lugo, is meeting with representatives of the Spanish Chamber in Paraguay and other business organizations in the South American country.

The second day of work in the Republic of Paraguay was intensive, focusing primarily on institutional visits.

Led by FAGA president Carlos Cebrián Escobar, the group visited various business-related organizations headquartered in the country’s capital, Asunción.

Specifically, the entrepreneurs from Lugo were received at the Official Spanish Chamber of Commerce and Services in Paraguay by its president, José Martín Lostao, along with the organization’s technical staff. There, they received guidance on how to access the local market and identify business opportunities, as well as contacts for follow-up individual meetings within the country.

Additionally, the group held meetings with Carlos Insfrán Micossi, president of the Paraguayan Chamber of Food Companies (CEPALI), and Lourdes Torres, general manager of the Paraguayan Chamber of Dairy Industries (CAPAINLAC).

CEPALI is an association deeply rooted in the national production of food and ingredients in Paraguay. It promotes quality standards and technical formalization within its sector, working in close coordination with health regulatory bodies such as Paraguay’s National Institute of Food and Nutrition (INAN).

Meanwhile, CAPAINLAC brings together the leading dairy industry players in the Paraguayan market—representing over 80% of the country’s industrialized milk—while fostering both milk consumption and technological development within this food subsector.
